Fine Art Prints:

My fine art prints are now available exclusively through my Etsy shop courtesy of Bellevue Fine Art. If you don't see the print you're looking for, let me know, and I'll make it available on Etsy. The quality of the papers, colour matching, and the attention to detail at BFA is *far superior* to what is currently offered through DeviantArt. Check out the BFA feature in Art Scene Seattle or the BFA website for more info.

Commissions:

You can order custom watercolours and drawings directly through my Etsy shop! Please allow 2 weeks for completion of watercolours and pencil portraits, but I will not be starting any new commissioned projects until after 24 August. For more info, please contact me directly via email: bcduncan.art@gmail.com (I check it more frequently than DeviantArt). Check out my Etsy shop for details about custom portraits!

I am a portrait artist by trade, imperfect by choice, and a cog in the machine of human mythology by default. I draw my inspiration from the peculiar minutiae of the human form, symbolism and mythology, the empty spaces left by missing friends, and the intricate elegance created by the convergence of biological and mechanical elements.

I use Kuratake water brushes. I do have to buy new ones for new nibs about once a month, but the handles are infinitely re-fillable, and the nibs do last surprisingly long. :)

Yay! Thanks so much! That means a lot to me. :) I highly recommend them. I'm completely self-taught thru experimentation. Watercolour supplies are also really inexpensive, so they're a great medium for learning. :)
